Accra, May 15, GNA – Colombian pop star Shakira and Nigerian artiste Burna Boy have released “Dai Dai,” the official song for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The track, distributed via Sony Music Latin and available on major streaming platforms, is part of efforts to build global excitement ahead of the tournament.
According to a FIFA statement, the royalties from the song would support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million by the end of the competition to expand access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide.
Shakira is partnering with FIFA and Global Citizen on the initiative, with her share of royalties from the song set to be donated to the fund.
FIFA also said Shakira would co-headline the World Cup final halftime show on July 19, marking the first time the tournament would feature a halftime performance.
“Dai Dai” follows the release of other singles linked to the official World Cup album, including “Lighter,” “Por Ella,” “Echo” and “Illuminate,” with more tracks expected in the coming weeks.
FIFA said the album would feature artists from different regions and genres, reflecting the global appeal of the World Cup and its connection to music and culture.
