Accra, May 22, GNA – A three-day capacity building training to sharpen the skills, foster collaboration, and equip the leadership of the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment with practical tools to drive impactful youth empowerment programmes nationwide has ended in Accra.
The training programme was a partnership between the Ministry, the Christian Council of Ghana and the John C. Maxwell/Equip Leadership Ghana.
It was aimed at enhancing leadership skills for effective youth development management, promoting collaboration between government and faith-based organisations.


The rest were to equip managers with modern strategies for policy implementation and evaluation, and fostering ethical leadership rooted in integrity and accountability.
The Christian Council of Ghana provided facilitators with expertise in ethical leadership and community, offered spiritual guidance to reinforce values of service and integrity, and strengthened partnership framework between faith-based organisations and government institutions.
The programme forms part of the Minister’s efforts to deepen collaboration between the Christian Council and the Ministry to tackle the issues regarding youth empowerment for self-reliance.


Mrs Emma Ofori Agyemang, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment in an interview with the media expressed gratitude to the Christian Council of Ghana and John C. Maxwell/Equip Leadership Ghana for the training.
She said the programme had refreshed their knowledge as leaders of a new Ministry to position and conduct themselves very well for the task ahead to support the youth.
