Moscow, June 12 (RIA Novosti/GNA) – Russia celebrates Russia Day with pride for the labour and military achievements of its ancestors, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.
“We celebrate this holiday with a warm, sincere attitude towards the motherland, with pride for the grandiose labour and military achievements of many generations of our ancestors, with respect for key events in Russian history and, of course, with the understanding that all stages of the more than a thousand–year journey of our state are one single whole,” Putin said during the ceremony of awarding Heroes of Labor and laureates of state prizes in different fields.
Solidarity and patriotism have always been the main values for Russians, the president said, adding that the support of special military operation participants by the entire Russian society becomes a spiritual pillar for the heroes of the country.
