Assin Asempanaye (C/R), April 26, GNA — The Presiding Member of the Assin North District Assembly, Mark Nti Ballack, has called on residents of the Assin Dansame-Asempanaye electoral area to embrace unity as a key driver of development.
He said the district could achieve meaningful progress and an improved standard of living if residents remained united and worked together towards a common goal.
Mr Nti Ballack made the call after organising a football competition for residents aged 50 years and above.
He assured the community that the initiative would not be a one-off event but would be sustained to promote peace and social cohesion in the area.
The Presiding Member also urged the youth to respect and support vulnerable groups, particularly the elderly.
The District Chief Executive, Sylvester Amakye-Nyarkoh, commended the initiative and encouraged other communities to emulate the gesture.
He pledged his support to improve sports infrastructure in the area to help nurture and develop the talents of the youth.
