Dambai (O/R) April 26, GNA – A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communication Team in the Krachi East Constituency, Mr Abramani Alhassan, has declared his intention to contest the position of Nasara Organizer of the party in the constituency.
Mr Alhassan said his decision formed part of efforts to contribute meaningfully to the strengthening of the party’s grassroot structures, particularly within Zongo and settler communities.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Dambai after announcing his candidature, he said his vision was to reposition the Nasara Wing to play a more strategic role in the party’s mobilisation and outreach efforts ahead of the 2028 general election.
He pledged to prioritise effective community engagement, voter education, youth empowerment and welfare initiatives to deepen the party’s support base in Zongo communities across the constituency.
Mr Alhassan noted that the Nasara Wing remained a vital component of the NPP’s grassroot architecture and required dynamic leadership to maximise its impact.
He said he would work closely with Islamic clerics, traditional authorities, youth groups and community opinion leaders to strengthen the party’s relations with residents in Zongo communities.
The aspiring Nasara Organizer also underscored the importance of unity and collective commitment among party faithful in ensuring electoral success in future polls.
He appealed to delegates to support his bid, assuring them of transparent, inclusive, and results-oriented leadership if elected.
The NPP is expected to hold internal constituency elections later this year as part of preparations towards the 2028 general election.
