Klefe (V/R), April 27, GNA – The kingmakers, chiefs and people of Klefe Anasime have enstooled Togbe Tsatsu Addo XVIII and installed Mama Hini Addo III as queenmother at a coronation ceremony at Klefe in the Ho municipal area of the Volta Region.
The event, marked by rich cultural display and renewed calls for unity and development, was held at Klefe Anasime on April 26, 2026, brought together traditional authorities, government officials and community members.
The ascension of the new leaders and their installation signal a new chapter in the traditional governance of the area.
In his inaugural address, Togbe Tsatsu Addo XVIII expressed gratitude to the chiefs, elders and kingmakers for the confidence reposed in him.
“I stand before you today with humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of responsibility,” he stated.
He underscored the significance of the stool, noting that it embodies the wisdom of the ancestors and the hopes of future generations.
“The stool I ascend today carries the wisdom of our ancestors and the hopes of generations yet unborn,” he said.
Outlining his vision, the newly enstooled chief emphasised education and entrepreneurship as key pillars for development.
“My vision is simple: a community where education opens every door and entrepreneurship creates opportunities for all,” he noted.
Togbe Tsatsu Addo called on the youth to actively participate in development efforts.
“You are not the leaders of tomorrow; you are partners in progress today,” he stressed, pledging to work closely with them to build a prosperous community.
He also appealed for unity among the people, urging them to rise above divisions.
“Let us reject division, rise above complacency, and choose progress,” he urged, while pledging to lead with honesty, humility, and courage.


The chief further called on the government to support infrastructure development, particularly the development of the Klefe Technical Institute.
“I wish to appeal to the government to support infrastructure development to enhance skills training for our youth,” he added.
Mama Hini Addo III highlighted the importance of education, particularly for the girl child.
“When you educate a girl, you educate a family and uplift a community,” she emphasised.
She also stressed the need for improved sanitation, describing it as critical to public health.
“Our health begins with our environment, and we must all commit to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene,” she advised.
The ceremony was attended by Togbe Koku Dzaga X, the Paramount Chief of the Klefe Traditional Area, elders, queenmothers, and other dignitaries, who pledged their support to the new leadership to advance development and preserve the cultural heritage of Klefe.
