Nana Dankwa succeeds his late uncle, Nana Kobena Attah, who died last year, and will serve as chief counsellor to the Omanhene.

Addressing a colourful but solemn ceremony at Nyakrom in the Agona West Municipality of the Central Region, the Omanhene recounted the significant contributions of the late family head, who worked diligently to uplift the image of the traditional area.

He expressed optimism that the new family head would champion reforms to help position Nyakrom and its environs among the leading traditional areas in the region.

The Omanhene commended members of the Oyoko Royal Family, as well as divisional chiefs, queen mothers and sub-chiefs, for their cooperation and unity, which ensured a peaceful installation of the new counsellor.

He also expressed gratitude to traditional leaders in the area for their support and prayers, urging continued cooperation to enable Nana Dankwa to perform his duties effectively.

Nana Dankwa, known in private life as Mr Jojo Duncan, an administrator with Brac Savings and Loans Limited, assured that his leadership would be inclusive and open to diverse views to advance the development agenda of the area.

He noted that, as chief counsellor, he would consult the President of the Council and other traditional leaders to drive development initiatives.

He pledged to build on the legacy of his late uncle with humility, respect and proactiveness to uphold the dignity and integrity of the Agona Nyakrom Traditional Area.

Nana Dankwa further committed to leveraging his administrative expertise to develop comprehensive policies and programmes aimed at transforming Agonaman.

He indicated plans to engage relevant state institutions to educate the youth on the dangers of hard drugs and their long-term effects.

He expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve, and to his biological father, Nana Kojo Amoako V, Agona Duakwahene and Krontihene of the Nyakrom Traditional Area, for his guidance and support, as well as to all traditional leaders for their encouragement.

He called on all stakeholders to rally behind him to promote infrastructural and human development in the area.
