Adaklu Ablornu (V/R), April 8, GNA – Mr Hayford Amenuvie, Assemblyman of Adaklu Ablornu Electoral Area in the Adaklu district has stated that the 24-Hour Economy introduced by President John Dramani Mahama was the harbinger of the economic fortunes of the country.
He therefore called on the people of Adaklu to seize the opportunity to set up small scale businesses.
Mr Amenuvie who is also the Secretary of Adaklu Constituency of the National Democratic Congress stated this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on the sidelines of a grand durbar of the chiefs and people of Adaklu Ablornu to climax their weeklong Afordeza celebration.
It was on the theme “Empowering Educators, Enriching Communities: Building brighter futures.”
The Assemblyman said the economic turnaround Ghanaians were yearning for would be a mirage if they did not support the idea.
He praised President Mahama “for how far he brought the country” especially “The Big Push” which he said had benefited the people of Adaklu.
The Assemblyman told the GNA that the Adaklu District Assembly in collaboration with Mr Governs Kwame Agbodza, Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Adaklu were working around the clock to improve the infrastructural needs of the district.
He entreated the people to also reciprocate the Assembly’s efforts by paying their taxes and levies to enable it to improve its revenue generation for more development projects.
Mr Amenuvie told the people to have confidence in the President Mahama-led NDC government adding “there are better days ahead.
