Ho, (V/R), March 2, GNA – A thanksgiving service in Ho marked the ordination milestone of Reverend Cephas Quarshie Jr., highlighting his nine-year ministerial journey.
The ceremony brought together clergy, traditional leaders, musicians, and members of the Christian community to honour Rev Cephas Kojo Quarshie Jr. for his devoted service, which culminated in his ordination.
The event featured worship, exhortation, and messages focused on steadfast faith.
Rev. Emmanuel Terry Adjah, Spiritual Father of the newly ordained minister, delivering the sermon on the theme, “The Faith of Our Fathers,” drawn from Genesis 5 and Hebrews 11 emphasised that the Christian walk is “faith from the beginning, faith for continuing and faith to the end.”
He explained that Noah’s obedience, even when rain was unprecedented, exemplified complete trust in God.
Rev. Adjah stressed that faith was a matter of conviction rather than age, urging believers not to attempt to “help God,” as His sovereign purposes remain unchanging.
“Nothing will change the time of God. God’s time is God’s time, not that of man,” he told the congregation, encouraging them to remain steadfast despite life’s challenges.

In his response, Rev. Quarshie expressed deep gratitude to God and to the many people who supported him throughout his nine-year path to ordination. He paid special tribute to his wife, Mrs. Vinolia Dorwu Quarshie, acknowledging her unwavering support.
“Her strength, prayers, and encouragement have been invaluable,” he said.
He also thanked the Church leadership, mentors, family members and congregants for their guidance and prayers.
The service concluded with prayers and thanksgiving, reaffirming the message that believers must walk by faith and trust in God’s perfect timing as they navigate their individual journeys.
