NADMO supports disaster victims in Afadzato South with roofing sheets

Ve Golokwati (V/R), June 26, GNA – The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Afadzato South District, has donated roofing sheets to residents affected by rainstorms and windstorms.  

The beneficiary communities include Logba-Tota, Tafi-Atome, Logba-Alakpeti, and Logba-Akusame, where several homes had their roofs ripped up and property damaged following downpours accompanied by strong winds. 

Mr Phanuel Samanu and Mr Maxwell Geli, on behalf Mr Maxwell Worlanyo Korkutse, Afadzato South District Director of NADMO, formed part of efforts to support disaster recovery and rehabilitation. 

Mr Korkutse sympathised with the victims and assured them of NADMO’s continued commitment to providing timely assistance to disaster-stricken communities. 

He said the roofing sheets were intended to help affected households to repair damaged structures and return to normal life as quickly as possible. 

Mr Korkutse urged residents to take precautionary measures during the rainy season and report disaster incidents promptly to facilitate swift intervention. 

He reiterated the Organisation’s broader mandate to coordinate disaster management activities and provide relief to individuals and communities affected by natural disasters across the district.  

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to NADMO for the support, describing the intervention as timely and essential in helping them rebuild their homes after the devastating storms.
