Atebubu (Bono East), March 04, GNA – Ohempon Dr Yeboah Asiamah, the Paramount Chief of the Atebubu Traditional Area in the Bono East Region, has paid courtesies to some paramount chiefs in the region to strengthen traditional ties.
Ohempon Dr Asiamah visited the palaces and interacted with Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III, the Paramount Chief of the Prang and Obrempong Kru-Takyi, the Paramount Chief of the Abease Traditional Areas in Pru West District of the Region.
Discussions between the chiefs were mostly centered on cultural exchanges and pushing forward the holistic development of the area.
Interacting with Nana Nyarko at his palace at Prang, Ohempon Dr Asiamah highlighted the roles of traditional authorities towards development, asking the chiefs and people of the area to frontline progressive and sustainable development.
He said with closer and deepened relationships, the chiefs could utilise the annual celebration of their respective festivals to advance the development of the Bono East Region.
“We must build and strengthen our traditional tides to enhance cultural exchanges, shared festivals, customs or rituals and joint efforts to prevent traditional conflicts or disputes,” Ohempon Asiamah said.
At Abease, Ohempon Asiamah called for strengthened collaboration between the chiefs and queens towards promoting agriculture and eco-tourism growth as well as cultural heritages and economic growth.
Nana Nyarko and Obermpong Kru-Takyi expressed their appreciation to Ohempon Dr Asiamah for the visits, noting that Atebubu, Prang and Abease were food hubs, hence the need for the chiefs to work together to enhance food productivity.
