Focus on your blueprint to deliver measurable transformation – NDC urged

Winneba (C/R), Feb. 27, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Government has been called upon to remember that Ghanaians entrusted them with their utmost democratic right to stabilise the economy, foster institutional integrity, national unity, ethical governance and to restore the nation comprehensively.

“The trust is sacred and it is about time you stop the blame game and focus on your blueprint at delivering as the days ahead are too short, political time is limited and history is impartial.”

This was contained in a Prophetic-Theological Message by Ven Fr Aaron Moses Kwamina Eduah, Archdeacon of Winneba Archdeaconry of the Anglican Diocese of Cape Coast, to NDC leadership and copied the Ghana News Agency at Winneba.

The message titled: “Stop the blame game, focus on your blueprint, the days ahead are too short,” reminded the NDC that Ghanaians through constitutional and sovereign expression, ended the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for a better Ghana.

Ven Fr Eduah who is also the Priest-in-Charge of Saint Johns the Divine Anglican Church, Winneba stated that transition was not incidental, but it intentional, moral political verdict and investment of trust in a new direction.

The message explained that the electorate did not merely vote against something but voted for something, for a blueprint, for restoration and for hope saying, that mandate was not given for comparison or for complaint.

The scripture establishes a foundational principle, stating in Romans chapter 13: 1–4, that leadership was stewardship, and that each and everyone with governing authority existed for order, justice and public good.

Ven Fr Eduah stated that Moses did not justify stagnation by referencing Pharaoh’s oppression, Nehemiah did not blame Babylon for broken walls, but he rebuilt them Joseph did not complain about Egypt’s system but restructured it.

Theologically it is clear, once authority is received excuses expire and when continuous attributing present challenges to past administrations provide context.

“During a parliamentary debate, Mr Osahen Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Leader ascertained that the government holds super power indicating full constitutional capacity underscores an undeniable truth, instruments of governance are now in your hands yet continue to emphasising inherited problems as primary justification which its risks could undermines your own moral legitimacy.”

Under Ghana’s constitutional framework, executive authority becomes fully active upon assumption of office and its does not contain any clause that allows indefinite referral of responsibility due to the previous administration failures.

The electorate removed the NPP because they believed in the NDC who presented a superior alternative, a more effective blueprint for economic stabilisation, reforms and national renewal and it must now be transit from campaign articulation to administrative execution with policy translating into implementation to produce measurable outcomes.

“Beyond political theory lies human reality and the ordinary Ghanaian is not consumed by partisan history but preoccupied with survival and stability and blame does not reduce inflation, create employment and restore investor confidence.”

“When blame becomes repetitive, hope diminishes, delivery becomes invisible, confidence wanes, political time moves faster than administrative planning and four years may seem adequate at the beginning of a term, but yet history demonstrates how swiftly political capital erodes when expectations are unmet”

Public patience is not infinite while electoral memory is short but decisive, hence Governments must focus extensively on revisiting the past and sacrifice to build the future.

The NDC promised national renewal and Systemic reforms which created expectation and now the expectation demands evidence as the days ahead are too short for distraction, rivalry .or retaliatory politics.

“Democracy is cyclical and the electorate retains ultimate authority and the same democratic force that removed one government remains active and observant, political legitimacy is renewable only through performance and history does not remember who blamed best but remembers who governed responsibly.

“May wisdom governs your strategies, may discipline shape your policies, may humility strengthen your leadership and may accountability define your legacy.

“The nation watches, people wait and time moves,” the message added.
