Ho (V/R), Jan 01, GNA â The Volta Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God for His guidance, protection and enduring grace over the Volta Region and the nation at large.
Mr Gunu said that throughout the year, Godâs sustaining hand had been evident in preserving peace, strengthening social cohesion, and guiding the collective efforts of leadership and citizens, despite the challenges encountered.
He noted that the relatively calm and stability enjoyed across communities in the region reflected both divine favour and the commitment of the people to peaceful coexistence.
Looking ahead to 2026, the Regional Minister prayed for renewed wisdom for leadership, continued protection for the people, and stronger unity among all communities.
He expressed optimism that the New Year would usher in greater progress, harmony, and shared prosperity for every Municipality, District, town, and household in the Volta Region.
Mr Gunu also conveyed his deep appreciation to traditional authorities, religious leaders, security agencies, public servants, and the resilient people of the Volta Region for their cooperation, patriotism, and dedication throughout the year.
He acknowledged their collective role in maintaining peace, supporting governance, and advancing development across the region.
He reaffirmed the governmentâs commitment to inclusive and people-centered development, stressing that with unity of purpose and Godâs guidance, the Volta Region would continue to grow as a peaceful, united, and prosperous region.
âAs we step into this new chapter, I extend my warmest wishes to all residents of the Volta Region for a year filled with progress, unity and growth,â Mr Gunu said.
âLet us work together to ensure that development reaches every corner of our region and that unity remains the bedrock of our communities.â
He wished all residents a blessed, peaceful, and successful New Year, marked by hope, opportunity, and shared achievements on behalf of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council.
