First Pan-African Regal Influence Summit hailed as a landmark success

Accra, Jan. 29, GNA- Mr. Okosun Kennedy , Executive Chairman of Krif Ghana and the Krif Foundation, says the inaugural Pan-African Regal Influence Summit 2026 was a landmark success.

He said the success of the summit signalled the birth of a transformative movement for effective leadership on tje continent of Africa.

Addressing a post-summit press briefing in Accra on Tuesday, Mr. Kennedy stated that the summit, held in Accra from January 21 to 25, exceeded expectations in substance, participation, representation, and measurable outcomes.

“The summit has not merely met expectations. It has clearly exceeded expectations,” Chairman Okosun asserted. “It was not just an event. It was a statement. It was a movement,” he said.
Mr. Kennedy highlighted the high-level endorsement the summit received, noting representation from the seat of government at Jubilee House, with official messages delivered from the Chief of Staff, Mr Julius Debra

He noted that the summit enjoyed robust diplomatic participation from notably personalities like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria, the Summit Chairman, who delivered his acceptance address through Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Ghana.

Mr Kennedy disclosed that Ambassadors and High Commissioners from Egypt, Suriname, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Ethiopia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, among others, were also in attendance.

He said that the summit featured a series of robust panel discussions on critical themes such as banking and investment, women and social development, entrepreneurship, and Pan-African diplomatic cooperation. Distinguished speakers included Mr Mulikat Akande Adeola, Nigeria’s first female Majority Leader; Professor Patrick Utomi; and Dr. Doliwura-Zakaria, MD of the National Investment Bank.

Mr. Kennedy said A key outcome of the summit would form the basis for a think tank to implement actionable recommendations from the summit.

“When we have the next Regal Influence Summit in 2027, we will be able to showcase the advancement that has been made,” he noted.

The event also included an awards and gala night celebrating excellence in various fields across Africa and a non-denominational thanksgiving service to close the proceedings.

Mr. Okosun Kennedy emphasised that while the summit was a Ghanaian initiative headquartered in Accra, its vision is Pan-African.

Plans are underway to host subsequent editions in other African nations, with two countries already on the drawing board for the next summit.

“History will record that the first Pan-African Regal Influence Summit took place here in Accra. This will be remembered for decades to come,” he stated.
