Anfoega, Dec. 8, 2025, GNA – The management of the North Dayi District Assembly has commissioned an ultra-modern DVLA centre to improve vehicle registration, licensing access, and reduce long-distance travel.
For years, residents of the district travelled to Ho, Hohoe and Accra to register vehicles, undertake inspections and access other essential Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority services.

Madam Joycelyn Tetteh, Member of Parliament of North Dayi, said the facility marked a major turning point in public service delivery and development in the area.
“This Centre brings real relief to our people and opens new opportunities for employment and local economic growth,” she said.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, Assembly members, security officials, and other stakeholders, and was led by Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey, the DVLA Chief Executive.
Mr Kotey said the facility would register vehicles with the ‘ND’ (North Dayi) prefix, offer full DVLA services locally including eye testing, create jobs and reduce hardship for families.

Mr Ernest Adevor, the District Chief Executive of North Dayi, described the event as historic and commended the Member of Parliament for her instrumental role in securing the project.
He said the Ultra Service Centre would create direct employment, stimulate business activity and provide lasting convenience for motorists, and called on stakeholders to protect the facility to sustain development.
