Abutia (V/R), Dec. 1, GNA – Road authorities and political leaders in Ho West have jointly inspected ongoing construction works to ensure timely delivery of critical transport routes serving several communities.

Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Member of Parliament of Ho West, together with Mr Francis Profer Dusey, District Chief Executive, and Madam Vera Hayibor, Administrator of the Ghana Road Fund, toured several project sites to assess progress and discuss measures to accelerate work.

The inspection covered major road networks linking communities within Ho West and neighbouring districts.

Mr Bedzrah said the roads remain, “vital routes for the people of Ho West and surrounding constituencies,” stressing that their completion is a shared responsibility.

“We are fully committed to ensuring the projects are delivered as planned and serve the needs of all who depend on them,” he added.

Work officially commenced on the Juapong–Abutia Kloe stretch on Thursday, where the contractor began active earth-moving.

According to the MP, the contractor demonstrated “commendable commitment,” noting that he personally joined the machinery operators to signal the start of construction.

Additional works are progressing steadily on the Sokode–Abutia Kloe road and the Anyirawase–Bame road; both considered essential links for movement of goods, services, and local economic activities across the district.

Madam Hayibor said the Ghana Road Fund remained committed to supporting priority projects, assuring residents that funding streams for ongoing works are being managed to avoid unnecessary delays.

Mr Dusey emphasised the district’s collaboration with contractors and engineers, saying the assembly would ensure that community concerns are addressed and that work schedules remain on track for efficient execution.

The Member of Parliament reaffirmed his commitment to continuous monitoring and stakeholder engagement to guarantee quality work and timely completion of all ongoing projects.
