Father Dogli Technical Institute tops in Practical Agriculture

Ho (V/R), Dec. 5, GNA – Father Dogli Memorial Technical Institute, situated at Old Ayoma in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region, has been adjudged the National Best Senior High School (SHS) in practical agriculture at the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration held in Ho.  

The Institute earned the prestigious honour for its outstanding commitment to hands-on agricultural training, innovation in school farming projects, and its sustained efforts in promoting agribusiness among students.  

As part of the award package, the school received a brand bus, GH¢50,000.00 and a range of consolation prizes aimed at enhancing its agricultural training programmes.  

They have also won an 18-unit classroom block in addition.  

Officials noted that the Institute’s achievement reflected the growing importance of practical agricultural education in equipping the next generation with relevant skills to support national food security and agro-industry development.  

Meanwhile, Mafi Avakpedome D/A KG/Primary School in the Central Tongu District was declared the National Best Primary School in practical agriculture and received a mini bus, a fully furnished library, a mini tractor and other consolation prizes.
