Ho (V/R), Oct. 20, GNA – Mr. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Etornam, the Volta Regional representative in the 2025 Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant, on her remarkable victory.

Mr. Gunu, in a statement on behalf of the Chiefs and people of the Volta Region, said Etornam’s triumph was a moment of great pride for the region.

“On behalf of the Chiefs and people of the Volta Region, I warmly congratulate Etornam on her outstanding victory. She carried the Volta spirit with grace, intelligence, and confidence, and her success is a proud moment for our entire region,” he said.

The Minister noted that this year’s win marks the second time in just three years that the Volta Region has claimed the prestigious GMB crown, following Selorm’s victory in 2023.

He described this as a testament to the region’s rich culture, unity, and the exceptional talent of its youth.

“This achievement reflects not only the beauty and intelligence of our young women but also the strength of our shared identity as Voltarians. Together, we continue to show that the Volta Region stands tall in culture, intellect, and creativity,” Mr. Gunu added.

Across the region, citizens were seen celebrating Etornam’s win with songs, dances, and jubilation in several towns.

Madam Ellen Folikumah, a resident of Dzodze, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that she could not contain her excitement.

“We are so proud of Etornam! She has made us all happy and reminded everyone that Volta girls are strong and beautiful,” she said joyfully.

At Dzodze-Zongo Junction, Miss Abigail Ahiavor, an Indomie seller, shared how she managed to follow the event live while working.

“Even though I was selling, I placed my phone in front of my goods and watched the programme on Facebook. I’m very happy I didn’t waste my data — it was worth it,” she told GNA with a smile.

Etornam’s victory, coming just two years after Selorm’s crown, has once again affirmed the Volta Region’s growing reputation as a hub of culture, talent, and confidence.

The Regional Minister called on all Voltarians to continue supporting their own and to use this achievement as motivation to promote unity and excellence in every field of endeavour.

“Etornam’s success is not just hers — it is for all of us. Let us continue to celebrate and invest in our people, our culture, and our future,” Mr. Gunu said.
