Accra, Oct. 13, GNA – Joy and spiritual fervour filled the atmosphere as worshippers at The Maker’s Chapel International gathered for the opening of the 2025 Experience Conference on Sunday.

The week-long programme, on the theme: “Jesus,” runs from October 12 to 19 at 1830 hours on week days. However, the weekend services are from 0800 hours. It is being held at the church’s Destiny Arena, Kwabenya, Accra.

The conference features a distinguished line-up of speakers, including Professor Michael Boadi Nyamekye, the Chairman of The Maker’s House Chapel International; Dr Ebenezer Maama Markwei, Head Pastor of Living Streams International; the Reverend Eastwood Anaba, President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries; and Dr Frank Ofosu Appiah, Founder and Senior Pastor of All Nations Church in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and General Overseer of the Living Springs International Churches.

Leading worship throughout the week are celebrated gospel musicians such as Joe Mettle, Akesse Brempong, Japhet Adjetey, Efe Grace, and Noah Boakye Yiadom, alongside the church’s resident Destiny Choir.

Prior to the official opening, eager worshippers began arriving very early. At 0800 hours, they were engulfed in an atmosphere of praise, led by the church’s choir through soul-lifting songs of worship.

The spiritual energy in the Destiny Arena intensified as Dr Markwei mounted the pulpit to deliver the opening sermon, drawing from the books of Luke, Psalms, Ezekiel, and Genesis.

He spoke on the power of anointing and urged Christians not to take their blessings or prayers for granted.

He cautioned believers that the anointing they carry “does not tolerate certain things,” explaining that God often leads individuals through specific paths of righteousness to correct and refine them.

Dr Markwei reminded the congregation that while others may stray without immediate consequence, those chosen for divine purposes must uphold a higher standard of obedience.

He underscored the importance of prayer, describing it as “a divine privilege that allows humanity to interact with divinity.”

Expounding on Psalm 23, Dr Markwei highlighted five prophetic places embedded in the scripture, from the green pastures of abundance to the still waters of renewal, and even the valley of the shadow of death, where faith must overcome fear.

“This Psalm contains five   prophetic places: from the green pastures of abundance to the still waters of mind transformation, and even the valley of the shadow of death, where a conscious choice to fear no evil must be made.”

He urged Christians to cultivate a deeper prayer life and to appreciate the full measure of God’s blessings and destiny over their lives, rather than taking them lightly.
