Dzodze (V/R), Oct. 2, GNA – The Ketu North Municipal Chief Executive, Reverend Martin Amenaki, and the Member of Parliament, Mr Eric Edem Agbana, have jointly announced a special celebration in honour of teachers across the constituency.
The event, scheduled for Monday, October 6, at the Municipal Assembly Hall, Dzodze, will bring together teachers, education stakeholders, and community leaders to recognise the invaluable role teachers play in shaping society and building the future.

A major highlight of the gathering will be the formal launch of the “MP’s Special Education Awards,” a new and competitive annual awards scheme designed to celebrate outstanding teachers whose dedication, innovation, and sacrifices have made remarkable impacts in classrooms and communities within Ketu North.
According to the organisers, the awards will serve as a platform to motivate, reward excellence, and uplift the teaching profession in the constituency and join the world to observe World Teachers’ Day, which will fall on Sunday, October 5.
As part of the celebration, teachers will also benefit from free registration and renewal of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards, ensuring improved access to healthcare.
Other packages, including tokens of appreciation and refreshments, will also be provided as gestures of gratitude for their service.
The MCE and MP emphasised that teachers remain the backbone of national development, describing them as “true change makers who deserve their rewards on earth.”
They called on all teachers to take part in the programme and on the wider community to continue showing appreciation and respect for educators.
The event is expected to become a flagship celebration of World Teachers’ Day in Ketu North, promoting the dignity of the teaching profession and reaffirming the constituency’s commitment to prioritising education.
