Tema, Oct. 10, GNA -To whip up the interest of children in the learning of French, GH Online French Lessons for Kids/Adults and Corporate is to host the 2025 Super Wonderland French Funfair at the Borteyman Sports Complex.

The funfair, which is scheduled to take place on October 25, 2025, is an initiative to make the learning of French enjoyable and accessible for young children as well as corporate individuals.

Madam Mildred Frimpong, the Chief Executive Officer of GH Online French Lessons for Kids/Adults and Corporate, disclosed this to the media in Tema.

The funfair is an annual French event that brings together French enthusiasts from across Ghana and beyond, featuring enhanced educational activities and learning opportunities designed to engage and inspire participants.

Madam Frimpong noted that the learning of French in many settings had lacked excitement due to conventional teaching methods employed by some instructors, which had contributed to a decline in enthusiasm and a poor response from learners toward the subject.

She said they believed that an added language was an added value, explaining that this principle drived their mission to make French learning enjoyable, relevant, and effective for all learners.

“French is spoken by over 300 million people worldwide, with 51% residing in Africa. It stands as one of the leading international languages in diplomacy, business, culture, and education. Mastery of French opens doors to vast global opportunities, enhancing both professional and personal growth.”

She added that Ghana’s unique position at the heart of West Africa, surrounded by French-speaking countries such as Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Burkina Faso, and Benin, made French language mastery a strategic asset, as it empowers Ghanaian youth to engage meaningfully with regional partners and take active roles in economic and diplomatic collaboration.

She noted that the French Funfair offered a joyful and immersive environment where children could develop their French language skills, connect with native speakers, and cultivate a lifelong passion for learning.

Madam Frimpong explained that by fostering linguistic abilities early, the young generation would be prepared to reach their full potential in an increasingly interconnected world.
