Sunyani, (Bono), Sept. 29, GNA – Mrs Fati Kine-Lam, the Bono Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has advised the youth to prepare themselves, and leverage government socio-economic interventions to acquire jobs.

She said the government remained committed to creating job opportunities, saying until the employed youth positioned themselves well, they could not identify those opportunities.

Mrs Kine-Lam gave the advice when executives of ‘Street Connect’ a youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) paid a courtesy on her in Sunyani, assuring that President John Dramani Mahama would not fail the nation.

She said: “President Mahama is doing everything possible to create job opportunities and empower the youth to contribute meaningfully to economic development”.

Mrs Kine-Lam also urged graduates not to over-rely on formal employment, however, channel their skills into entrepreneurship, and assured them that the government was ready to support them to build on their own businesses.

Mr Abdul Razack, the Leader of the ‘Street Connect’ said the group remained committed to marketing the socio-economic interventions and policies of the government to the masses.
