Tamale, July 27, GNA – Mr Edward Attah Kojo Dawuni, a retired Public Servant, has been enskinned Paramount Chief of Tatali Traditional Area in the Northern Region under the skin name Nakpare Bore Dawuni Attah Nkaraa II.
The enskinment ceremony, performed at the Gbewaa Palace at Yendi by Ya-Na Abukari II, Overlord of Dagbon Traditional Area, saw Nakpare Bore Nkaraa II succeed Nakpare Bore Gariba Yankofor II, who ruled the area from 2001 up to March 21, 2024 when he passed away.
Nakpare Bore Nkaraa II is a former Yendi Municipal Director of the Information Services Department, and from 1987 up to his enskinment, had worked as a Stringer for the Ghana News Agency in the Yendi Municipality.
His enskinment ceremony was a day of celebration attended by those, who mattered in the Tatali Traditional Area, and friends and well-wishers from far and near.
The Tatali Traditional Area, located in the Tatali-Sangule District, is a border town sharing boundaries with the Republic of Togo, and very significant in the Dagbon kingdom.
Ya-Na Abukari II urged the new Paramount Chief to leverage his years of service in public communication and media to attract development to the area and promote unity amongst the people.
