ECG to embark on Nationwide “All Must Pay” Revenue Mobilisation Campaign

Accra, July 13, GNA – The Management and the Workers Union of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have announced a nationwide revenue mobilisation campaign dubbed “Operation All Must Pay”, aimed at clearing outstanding customer arrears.  

A statement issued by the ECG, copied to the Ghana News Agency said the campaign wouls run from Monday, July 14, to Friday, July.  

Dr Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, ECG’s General Manager of External Communication, shared details of the campaign. 

“This campaign is focused on all customers, including residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors,” said Dr Ayiku.  

“Special teams will be deployed to ensure compliance, and we will closely monitor for any illegal connections or attempts to reconnect power. 

“ECG has identified unpaid bills as a major challenge to its financial sustainability, and the company is determined to enforce payments.”  

Dr Ayiku reiterated the importance of timely payments to avoid disconnections and additional reconnection fees.  

He also advised customers to use the official ECG Mobile App for secure payments and warned against scammers who promote fake payment methods. 

“The “All Must Pay” campaign is crucial for strengthening the financial health of ECG and improving service delivery, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply across the country,” Dr Ayiku added. 

The statement said customers were advised to make payments only through approved methods, such as the ECG Mobile App, which could be downloaded from the Google Play Store, or by reaching out to the company’s call centre for further assistance.  

It said during this period, ECG would also be inspecting meter integrity and engaging with customers to resolve any operational issues. 

The statement said the company urges all customers with outstanding balances to take immediate action to avoid service disruptions.
