Odomase (Bono), Sept. 28, GNA – A total of 77 aspirants have picked nomination forms to contest various executive positions of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sunyani West Constituency.
Mr Stephen Diawuo, the Sunyani West Constituency Elections Director of the NDC, disclosed this in an interview with the media at Odomase, the constituency capital.
He said the aspirants obtained the forms online, but only five had so far submitted their completed forms.
Mr Diawuo urged aspirants who encountered challenges in filing their nominations to contact the constituency office for assistance.
In another interview, Mr Felix Kyere, an aspirant for the position of Sunyani West Constituency Deputy Secretary, expressed the hope that the electoral process would be conducted smoothly.
He said the NDC cherished its internal electoral processes and remained a law-abiding party.
Mr Kyere urged the aspirants and their supporters to remain decorous in their campaigns.
