“The leader of the government you are serving is President Mahama, and so far, he has exhibited good faith in government, very humble; l urged you to learn from his postures,” he said.
He also explained that Anyako is a fishing community and lamented that the available lagoon in the area has been covered by mud and sand which needed to be dredged to enable easy fishing to improve the livelihood of the residents and boost the economy of the area for better living condition.
He appealed to the government to as matter of urgency prioritise dredging the lagoon in the area to create more opportunities and jobs for the residents in Anyako and the surrounding communities as well as alleviate the devastating flooding situations in the area.
“We are urging the government through our MCE to prioritise dredging of Anyako lagoon and put that in the Assembly’s medium-term plans to avert the fishing challenges fisherfolks faced in the shallow lagoon,” he said.
Tobgi Tenge further appealed to government to build a monument in honour of Mr. John Willie Kofi Harley at Anyako, who was an indigene of the area and the first Inspector General of Police (IGP) between (1966-1969).
The late John Willie Harley serve also as the Vice Chairman of National Liberation Council and was a member of three-man presidential commission, which carried out functions during the 1969 democratic transition in Ghana.

He told the Ghana News Agency, that Mr. Komla Agbeli Gbedemah, a Ghanaian politician and Minister of Finance during the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s government between 1954 and 1961, and native of Anyako, who performed beyond his limits and promoted the good governance of the first president, should also be honoured with a monument at his hometown for recognition and honour in his memory.

He said that in commemorating the 28th February Crossroad Shooting incident, the nation annually held a ceremony to mark the tragic incident at Accra and other parts of the country with their statues, and asked that same should be done at Anyako with Corporal Attipoe’s status to celebrate his braveness and historical recognition.
Meanwhile, Mr. Wisdom Seade, the Keta MCE pledged that the necessary efforts would be put in place by government to solve the challenging situations of the area.0
