Koforidua (A/R), June 2, GNA – Apostle Clement Brakatu, the Chairman of the Apostles’ Continuation Church International (ACCI), has stated that leadership is not about titles, positions and coercion, but rather, service to God and mankind.
He said modern society equated success with titles and positions and thus, sees service as beneath dignity.
Apostle Brakatu was opening the 29th Annual General Council meeting of the ACCI, at its events grounds at Koforidua, near Duayaw Nkwanta in the Tano North municipality of the Ahafo Region.
Touching on the theme for this year’s event, “Ignite to Transform: Elevation Through Service,” the Chairman said service lies at the very heart of God’s call upon every believer.
“We’re not called to lord it over others, but to serve in humility, grace and divine purpose. When we serve, we become vessels through which God touches the lives of others,” he stated.
Apostle Brakatu urged parents, teachers, corporate heads, political, religious, and traditional leaders in the country and beyond, to serve with humility and leave a legacy to posterity.

“When your office ends or your life concludes, what will people say of you? Will they recall your degrees, titles and accolades, or the love, service and the faith you offered.
Between titles and testimonies, choose testimonies,” he admonished.
Presenting the State of the Church report to Council members, Apostle Ebenezer Annang, General Secretary of ACCI, said the meeting was to take stock, reflect and build on progress so far made.
He disclosed that the ACCI, currently had active branches in 14 countries from four continents, with 70 Assemblies.
Apostle Annang stated that the launching of the church’s theme last year, marked a significant landmark in the annals of the ACCI.
The General Secretary urged members of the church to rise and help keep the church on the move.

“The ACCI is a church on the move, now is the time for all to rise up to advance the movement. Together, let’s ignite, transform and transcend our boundaries,” he charged.
The week-long meeting was climaxed by the ordination of over 40 newly certified Pastors, to serve in the Lord’s vineyard.
