Accra, May 26, GNA – The Word Alive Bible College has held its fifth Annual Christian Easter School 2025 with a call on Christians to have faith in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ.
Reverend Professor Clement Owusu Sarpong, the Founder and Leader of the College, made the call when he gave a lecture on the theme, “Appropriating the Power of the Resurrection.”
He said Christians having faith in the resurrection power would enable them to use it to raise the people from spiritual, physical, financial, sexual, and mental afflictions.
The programme was supported by the Independent Non-Denominational Council Ghana and Lucas Seminary and held at the premises of the college at Fise near Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.
Rev. Prof Sarpong stated, “The resurrection power is real and it’s the greatest power in the world,” adding that, “Fasting and prayers could be reduced if we, as Christians, get to know our Lord, get to know His resurrection power and appropriate it.”
The host said to appropriate the resurrection power one must know Jesus, adding, “Know Him as the God of creation. He is God Almighty. Know him that All power in this universe belongs to Him.”
“Anything dead can never auto-resurrect, except God. Jesus said in John 10:17 – ‘For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again (English Standard Version),’” he stated.
Rev. Prof. Sarpong emphasised that, “Everything you consider dead could be resurrected by you, if you have the faith of God by appropriation. Fasting may be good, prayer is good; but appropriating the resurrection power is the best.”
He said through the gospel, the spiritually dead were given new life in Christ.
Apostle Dr Atta Frimpong Blessing, the Chairman of INDeC-Ghana, and the guest of honour in a speech commended the host for organising the Easter School to enlighten Christians on the resurrection power.
He urged young upcoming pastors to avail themselves with the college to acquire in-depth knowledge of the gospel.
