Updates: Appointments Committee resumes vetting of Ministerial Nominees

“The e-gate is part of the National Management Border System being implemented by the Civil Aviation Authority and should be done for free.”

“The Electronic-Gate (e-gate) constructed by the New Patriotic Party Government has no contract and Ghana ought not to have paid even one dollar.”

The e-gate should have been done without extra cost, Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Minister-designate for Roads and Highways, said on Monday during his vetting by the Appointments Committee of Parliament.

“The New Patriotic Party Government constructed 673 kilometres of new roads, which is contained in the Transition documents, and not 11,000km as claimed by the previous government.”

“It was an act of illegality and negligence for the New Patriotic Party Administration to close the tollbooths without parliamentary approval.”

The Akufo-Addo-led government left behind GHc135 billion road sector debt in 2024 — Mr Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Minister-designate for Roads and Highways, announced this during his vetting by the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Monday.
