Dambai (O/R), Jan 28, GNA – In a move to address the pressing issue of youth unemployment, Madam Edith Vivinyo, a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) aspirant for Nkwanta South Municipality, has pledged to create jobs and provide skill training for the youth in the Oti Region.
Madam Vivinyo, Deputy Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the municipality, aims to explore other avenues for job creation, such as vocational training and entrepreneurship development.
This multifaceted approach is expected to equip the youth with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in various industries.
Madam Vivinyo promised to collaborate with chiefs and traditional authorities, acknowledging the important role they play in maintaining harmony and stability in the community.
She reiterated her commitment to restoring peace in the township and bring all parties together to resolve the ongoing conflict, which has been a major concern for residents.
“I believe that dialogue and collaboration are key to resolving conflict, As MCE, I will work tirelessly to bring all stakeholders together to find a lasting solution to the conflict,” Madam Vivinyo said.
