Accra, Sept. 17, GNA – The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, has underscored the importance of loyalty among pastors, describing it as a critical factor in the development and growth of the Church.
He said loyalty remained the “currency of development” and should not be compromised under any circumstances.
Rev. Wengam made the remarks during a three-day prayer retreat for re-elected and newly elected Executive Presbytery Officers of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, at the Cedar Mountain Chapel at East Legon in Accra.
Rev. Wengam was re-elected as General Superintendent with nearly 90 per cent of the votes cast.
Other elected officers are Rev. Kwadwo Boateng Bempah, Assistant General Superintendent-elect; Rev. Albert Anane, General Secretary-elect; and Rev. Simon Abu Baba, General Treasurer.

Speaking on the topic, “The Role of Loyalty in Organisational Development,” Rev. Wengam urged church leaders to demonstrate loyalty to God, the Church and its leadership through their actions.
He stressed that loyalty was essential for building a healthy and effective organisation.
Participants described the retreat as refreshing, equipping and relevant to their ministerial responsibilities.
