Madam Gyamfi said those projects were executed through the District Assembly Common Fund, the Ghana Education Trust Fund and donor support.

She said the drainage systems in the Wenchi Township and parts of the municipality had been improved, saying that the assembly had also reshaped the deplorable condition of some roads linking farming communities and some access roads at Wenchi.

Madam Gyamfi said the Assembly had constructed 12 boreholes and three mechanised pumps across 10 communities in the municipality to improve water coverage.

The Assembly had also constructed six-unit classroom blocks respectively at Aboabo and Mensahkrom and another three-unit classroom block at Kanaase, as well as an ultra-modern Kindergarten block at the Roman Catholic cluster of schools at Wenchi, to improve access to quality education.

They comprised two story teacher’s bungalows, dining and kitchen complex, a 300-bed capacity hostel and Assembly Hall projects.
