Assin Kyinso (C/R), Aug. 31, GNA- Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin South Constituency, has commissioned an ultra-modern two-unit kindergarten block at Assin Kyinso.
The furnished facility has an office, a washroom and a kitchen and is expected to significantly improve teaching and learning outcomes, particularly for pupils who had previously studied in overcrowded classrooms and less conducive environments.
Handing over the facility, the MP said the infrastructure would help pre-school learning, enhance teacher effectiveness and boost pupils’ academic performance.
He challenged parents to complement the efforts of the government and teachers by playing their part in providing food and learning materials for the children.
Rev. Ntim Fordjour also charged the school authorities to maintain the classroom blocks to stand the test of time.
Mr Isaac Opoku Inkoom, the District Director of Education advised the school authorities to ensure proper maintenance of the facility to guarantee their long-term use.
Nana Anokye Kotoko II, the Chief of Assin Kyinso was grateful to the MP and pledged to ensure that parents enrolled their children in school for the community to have more educated citizens to serve their communities and the nation.
