Kpetoe, Aug. 25, GNA – The Volta Regional Communications Officers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have inspected selected development projects in the Agotime-Ziope Constituency as part of an ongoing project monitoring exercise.
The team, led by Mr Kafui Agbledze and Mr Bright Delali Kugbadzor, was accompanied by Constituency Communication Officers and members of the Constituency Communication Team, who provided updates on the projects and their locations.
The exercise was aimed at assessing the progress of ongoing projects, verifying completed interventions, and equipping communication officers with first-hand information on development initiatives being undertaken across the constituency.
The projects inspected covered the education, health and economic sectors, with some completed and others at various stages of construction.
In the education sector, the team visited a completed three-unit classroom block with an office and store at Adzorvi and a completed two-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Takuve.
The team also inspected a three-unit classroom block with an office and store at Obemla, which had reached the roofing stage.
Another three-unit classroom block with an office and store at Akpokorpe, identified as a legacy project, was also inspected.
In the health sector, the team visited an ongoing Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound with semi-detached nurses’ quarters at Datsiedu, as well as another CHPS compound with semi-detached three-unit nurses’ quarters at AGOSEC Top in Kpetoe.
Both projects were at the roofing stage at the time of inspection.
The team further inspected a completed CHPS compound with nurses’ quarters at Agorhokpo, which was described as a legacy project.
As part of the exercise, members also toured the site of the ongoing 24-Hour Economy Market project, which is expected to enhance economic activities, improve market infrastructure and provide a more conducive environment for traders and businesses in the constituency.
The communication officers said the monitoring exercise would enable both the regional and constituency communication teams to obtain accurate information on the status of development projects and effectively communicate their progress and expected benefits to residents.
They noted that the exercise would continue across the constituency to promote informed public discourse on development interventions and their contribution to improving the socio-economic well-being of communities.
