Tema, Aug. 16, GNA – Apostle Dr Samuel Vincent Ansah, the Chairman, Ghana National Council, Great Commission Church International (GCCI), has cut the sod for construction works to begin on Church’s Maranatha Assembly’s ultramodern chapel project at Tema.
The one-thousand-seater auditorium project will have two offices, a boardroom, and a children’s chapel.
It is expected to be completed within three years.
Apostle Dr Ansah who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Paulina Ansah, performed the sod cutting ceremony on the theme: “The God of heaven, he will prosper us, therefore we his servants will arise and build”.
The event coincided with the climax of the GCCI Maranatha Assembly Women’s Ministry Week Celebration on the theme: “Commitment to Deliver the GCCI Mandate in Disciple-Making.”
Apostle Dr Ansah in his homily to officially cut the sod for the commencement of work on the project reiterated that it takes commitment to achieve greatness.
He said this was because a committed person was an achiever.
“If you are not committed to anything, you will not be effective in accomplishing that thing. If you see any brethren excelling in anything the person is doing, it is because the person is committed to it,” the Chairman stated.
Quoting from the Bible, Apostle Dr Ansah said “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
He noted that anyone who was committed to his work would be great and all people would be looking for him because of his achievements and urged Christians to invest in God’s kingdom business because there was a great reward for their labour in the Lord’s vineyard.
He advised the leadership of GCCI Maranatha Assembly to commit themselves to doing God’s work and to pursue teamwork.
Touching on the theme of the Women’s Ministry Week Celebration, Apostle Dr Ansah reminded them of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ which charged all believers to go into all the world and make disciples of nations.
He said to ensure that the lost souls were saved, it would require Christians to evangelise them for Christ.
He however challenged Christians to live their lives like Christ did, so they could draw others into the kingdom of God.
Apostle Dr Ansah told the congregants that God was the source of all riches and greatness and that he (God) would bless them in abundance so that they would be able to support the construction of the chapel project.
Rev. Paul Morgan-Adorsu, the GCCI Tema District Pastor commended GCCI Maranatha Assembly for their commitment in giving towards advancing God’s kingdom business.
Rev. Iddi Yire, the Resident Pastor, GCCI Maranatha Assembly on behalf of the congregation expressed gratitude to Apostle Dr Ansah for taking time off his busy schedules to come and perform the sod cutting for works to begin on the GCCI Maranatha Assembly’s ultramodern chapel project.
