Effia (W/R), Sept. 13, GNA – Christians have been urged to leverage the power of the Holy Spirit to transform their communities and spheres of influence in the face of rising secularism and societal challenges.
Miss Blessing Maame Ekua Nunoo, a member of the Church of Pentecost, made the call during a service at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Takoradi, to climax this year’s Children’s Week Celebration.
She emphasised that the current times demanded an active and spirit-led efforts to spread the gospel and influence society positively.
She noted that contemporary society was increasingly dominated by secularism and modernity, rendering the times morally challenging.
Quoting Mark 16:15-16, Miss Nunoo underlined the fundamental responsibility of every Christian to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ to all creation to redeem the times.
She stressed that helping others come to the knowledge of God was not optional, but a divine directive that required immediate action.
According to her, believers were not expected to undertake this mission in their own strength, saying the Holy Spirit remained ready to equip and empower individuals to boldly share God’s word within their workplaces, neighbourhoods, and personal networks among other places.
She encouraged the church to remain steadfast in its mission, asserting that true societal transformation could only be achieved when Christians actively demonstrated the power of the Holy Spirit through the gospel.
