Sunyani, (Bono), July 20, GNA-Hajia Samira Sulley, Bono Regional women’s Organiser hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has engaged some former women organisers of the party, pledging her dedication to advance women interest and welfare in the region.
The former women organisers were drawn from Berekum East, Sunyani East, Dormaa East and Jaman South constituencies of the region.
Interacting with them at a meeting in Sunyani, Hajia Sulley indicated that women’s wings of the party ought to be strengthened in organizing women at the grassroots and to canvass women votes for NPP to win the Election 2028.
She noted that the women wing of the NPP remained a critical political tool for the party, saying that as the chunk of the nation’s population, there was the need for the women’s wing of the party to intensify political activities and to canvass more votes from women.
Hajia Sulley indicated that the women’ wings of the party also served as an avenue for political participation, recruitment and to influence gender policies and advance the course of women.
She pledged to ensure that political activities of the women’s wing were vibrant, though the NPP was in opposition, and called on the delegates to make informed decisions and vote for her when they go to polls.
Hajia Sulley said funding political activities of the women’s wing in the region would not be a problem, promising to utilize her connections, home and abroad to mobilize funds for the wing.
“I believe every woman matters, every constituency matters and every member has a role to play in winning the Election 2028”.
Hajia Sulley emphasised her readiness to work tirelessly with women, inspire hope, and build a stronger, united family “where every voice is heard and every effort is appreciated.
“Together, let us rise with one purpose and one heart to build a resilient front for the NPP to regain political power in the next General Election”, she added.
Hajia Sulley pledged to mobilize women at the grassroots, canvass female votes for the party, and champion women’s socio-economic and political interests, saying that the women’s wing served as a critical bridge between the party’s leadership and female voters.
“In fact, leadership isn’t about being in front but it’s about lifting others along the way”, she concluded.
Nana Felecia Adomah Peprah, a former women’s organiser of the party expressed appreciation to the aspirant, regretting that since 2008, some of the NPP’s former women organisers had been neglected in the activities of the party.
She pledged their unflinching support to the aspirant and urged her to continue building on her good human relations, saying that would make the NPP more attractive in the eyes of women.
