Bibiani (WN/R), July 1, GNA – Mr Michael Aidoo, the Western North Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has paid nomination and filing fees for all branch executive aspirants in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency.

He also donated GH¢30,000 to support the ongoing NDC branch executive elections in the constituency.

Mr Tony Twum Achampong, the NDC Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency Treasurer, who received the donation on behalf of the Branch Elections Committee said the amount received would help to facilitate the smooth conduct of the elections.

He described the gesture as unprecedented and demonstrated the regional chairman’s commitment to strengthening grassroots structures.

Mr Seth Gyedu, the Deputy Constituency Secretary, said the intervention would ease the burden of organising the elections and ensure the process was conducted smoothly, peacefully, and successfully.

Other constituency executives who spoke to the Ghana News Agency said Mr Aidoo’s contribution reflected his commitment to grassroots development and internal democracy within the NDC.

They urged members to remain united before, during, and after the elections to build a stronger party.

Some party members in the constituency also welcomed the intervention, describing it as a demonstration of leadership and commitment to the growth and unity of the NDC.

Meanwhile, the Branch Elections Committee also appealed to other stakeholders and individuals in the constituency to emulate the kind gesture of the regional chairman and support them to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the elections.
