Ho, June 24, GNA- Wallahs Academy Senior High School in Ho, in the Volta Region, has held its 13th graduation ceremony, celebrating another year of significant academic excellence.

The event, which was themed: “After Senior High Education, What Nex?” celebrated the graduating cohort while recognising the institution’s unwavering commitment to top-tier holistic education.

A total of 93 students graduated after successfully completing their academic programmes.

Mr Edem Kpotosu, Member of Parliament for Ho Central, urged the graduates to dedicate themselves to lifelong study to maintain relevance.

He stated that success would depend not only on academic knowledge but also on one’s dedication to lifelong learning, adaptation, and personal development.

The MP noted that the world is intensely competitive and rapidly evolving, therefore, ongoing education is essential for maintaining relevance to compete effectively and attain greater success.

He urged them to be disciplined, emphasising that talent devoid of discipline frequently results in failure, but discipline has the potential to transform ordinary individuals into extraordinary achievers.

The MP implored the students to choose their associates judiciously, as the individuals they aligned with may either enhance their future or misguide them.

Mr Kpotosu stated that obtaining a Senior High School certificate was not the end objective, as it just functioned as a precursor to more extensive chances and more responsibilities.

He urged students to embrace diligence, asserting that there are no shortcuts to lasting success, to maintain regard for God, and to retain a robust moral character, as character would unlock chances that mere certificates could not.

Dr Jonathan Jato, Senior Lecturer, School of Pharmacy, University of Health and Allied Sciences, commended the school for its dedication to quality education.

He described the event as a celebration of determination, resilience, sacrifice, and hope, and he entreated the graduates to use their talents to serve humanity, be disciplined, humble, and respectful.

Mr Maxwell Wallahs Yao Affram, Rector of the School, reaffirmed the institution’s steadfast dedication to offering top-notch training in academic, social, and moral fields, ensuring that students are well equipped for higher study.

He touted the school’s academic achievements, pointing out that the 2025 WASSCE results were outstanding, with a 93 per cent pass rate for grades between A1 and C6 and a 100 per cent rate in several options.

Mr Affram said the school continued to actively participate in co-curricular activities, stating that the school was actively getting ready to take part in the National Science and Maths Quiz in 2026 after making it to the esteemed one-eighth level in 2025.

Mr Affram said the institution was founded on pillars of faith in God, discipline, and dedication and hard work.

He disclosed that the school’s current enrollment stood at 220, with a staff strength of 36, made up of 23 teaching and 13 non-teaching staff.

The Rector implored the graduands to uphold in high esteem the values the school instilled in them and should remain worthy ambassadors of the school.

Mr Emmanuel Kofi Hallo, Acting Headmaster of the School, said the academic year under review has been one characterised by hard work, innovation, and determination.

He said the event marked a significant milestone in the lives of the graduates and served as a testament to the collective efforts of parents, teachers, and management in contributing to the educational journey for the students.

The Acting Headmaster stated that they would continue to foster an environment conducive to effective teaching and learning while remaining steadfast in their commitment to provide quality education and holistic development to all students.

Awards were given to deserving teachers and students.
