Thirty-two (32) candidates contest for various positions in Atwima Mponua NPP

 Nyinahin (Ash) Jun 30, GNA – Thirty-two (32) aspirants have been vetted and approved to contest for various positions in the Atwima Mponua constituency of the NPP. 

They are Kofi Antwi Boasiako, Jacob Yaro and Bismark Agyei Boadi, vying for the chairperson position, Kwadwo Asare, Akwasi Osei Adu and Yakubu Salihu, for the first vice chairperson position, Kwaku Boateng and Adams Abdul Nasir Larry, second vice chairperson position and Ransford Atta Kwabena and Emmanuel Domfeh, for the constituency secretary position. 

Others are Karim Awandy Awaal, Godfred Adjei, Collins Baffuor, Martin Prempeh, for Deputy Secretary position, Agyemang Opambour, Bukari Yakubu, George Amankwatia, for Treasurer, whilst Kwame Oppong, Abdul Moro, Matthew Akosah and Paul Obeng Agyemang, are vying for the organizer slot. 

Adutwmwaa Nana Adwoa Gyamera, Hawa Moro, Mercy Donkor and Sophia Acheampomaa will battle for Women Organizer positions, and Fuseni Mohammed, Clinton Darko, Joseph Oppong and Richard Badu will go for the Youth Organizer position. 

Miracle Agyen and Albert Kwaku Asiedu will contest for the Communications Officer position, but Issaka Moro will go unopposed for the Nasara Organizer position. 

Mr Justice Nkrumah Boateng, constituency Research and Elections Director, told the Ghana News Agency at Nyinahin after the vetting, that the process had been smooth and peaceful. 

He appealed to the aspirants to be mindful of their utterances during and after campaigns, adding that they should engage in decent campaigns that could bring unity and cooperation into the party since their collective efforts as members would play a key role in winning power in the 2028 general elections. 

They should therefore act as party unifiers during this and other internal contests in order not to create difficulties for party leadership at any level in the near future. 

Mr Boateng also urged supporters of the aspirants to make unity their priority in their campaigns. 

Mr. Charles Owusu Ansah, the NPP National representative for the vetting exercise, commended the aspirants, polling station executives and other stakeholders for ensuring a successful and smooth vetting process.
