Adaklu Kodzobi (V/R), June 21, GNA – Men have been advised to live impactful lives by investing in their families.

They are also to prioritize service over self-interest and be dependable pillars in their families and communities.

Elder Courage Akordor, Ho SSNIT Flats District Leader of Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) of the Church of Pentecost Saturday gave the advice during the Ministry’s community engagement at Adaklu Kodzobi.

The community engagement formed part of the PEMEM week celebration which started on June 16, 2026.

It is on the theme “Men unleashed to transform society.”

Elder Akordor noted that, men as heads of their families should be positive role models for generations yet unborn.

He said men have been blessed with a lot of gifts that could be used to transform their immediate families, Church and nation at large.

Elder Akordor stated that the notion that the Church has failed society was not true, saying “what would society be if the Church is not there, it is rather individuals that failed society.”

He called on Christians to always study the scriptures and live by its teachings adding “let us live positive lives that are worthy of emulation.”

On the emergence of false prophets, he said Christ foretold of it and stated that they were also fulfilling Scripture but warned Christians not to follow “everyone who is wearing cassock.”

Elder Godwin Senanu Ahorsoo, Ho Area Assistant leader of PEMEM urged Christians to be the light and salt of the world.

He noted that Christians should be the change agents of society adding “our presence anywhere we find ourselves, we should be able to eliminate the rots and evils that place and not add to it.”

Elder Akordor said the celebration would be climaxed with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the morning and a grand get-together to celebrate fathers in the afternoon.

As part of the community engagement, PEMEM organized a free medical screening for over 300 people in the community, and free medications were also given to them.

There was also free renewal and new registration of National Health Insurance Cards.

There was also a house-to-house evangelism by the evangelism team in the community to win souls for Christ.
