Accra, June 9, GNA – Dr Gloria Sraha, Head of the Business Studies Department at Lancaster University Ghana (LUG), has received the Best Reviewer Award and the Naresh Malhotra Fellowship at the 2026 Academy of International Business (AIB) Africa Conference held at Strathmore University Business School in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Academy of International Business is one of the world’s leading associations dedicated to advancing knowledge and research in international business.
A statement from Lancaster University Ghana, copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the annual AIB Africa Chapter Conference brings together distinguished scholars, policymakers, and industry leaders to examine emerging trends and strengthen Africa’s role in shaping global business discourse.
Dr Sraha’s recognition as Best Reviewer highlights her commitment to scholarly excellence and her contribution to maintaining the high academic standards that underpin international research.
At the conference, she also presented a study titled, “Public Policymakers: The Influence of Export Promotion Programmes Infused with Digital Technology and Their Impact on Export Development in Ghana.”
The research explored how digitally enabled export promotion initiatives support Ghanaian businesses in expanding into international markets, providing valuable insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and researchers.
In addition, Dr Sraha chaired a session on Resources, featuring academics from Kenya, China, Russia, Thailand, and Germany. Discussions focused on how organisations can effectively manage and integrate resources to drive innovation, enhance competitiveness, and create sustainable value in an increasingly dynamic global business environment.
The statement said Dr Sraha’s achievements reflect Lancaster University Ghana’s continued commitment to research excellence, thought leadership, and global engagement.
Through the work of faculty members such as Dr Sraha, the university continues to strengthen its position as a leading institution of higher education in West Africa, delivering world-class British education while contributing meaningful research that informs business practice and public policy, it added.
