Accra, June 13, GNA – Ghana’s indigenous oil marketing company, GOIL PLC, reported net profit after tax of GHC 90.67 million for 2025, representing 7.05 per cent increase from GHC 84.70 million recorded in 2024.
Although gross revenue declined from GHC 20.36 in 2024 to GHC 18.55 billion in 2025, the Company’s Board of Directors declared a dividend of GHC 0.060 per share for 2025, amounting to about GHC 23.5 million, said to be the first dividend increase in three years.
The company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) improved from GHC 0.2160 to GHC 0.2310 while Market Price of Share increased significantly from GHC 1.52 in 2024 to GHC 2.96 by end of 2025.
Nana Philip Archer, Board Chariman, GOIL PLC, attributed the strong performance to enhanced operational efficiency, despite challenges in the global and domestic petroleum market.
“Depot and station expenses, administrative costs, and finance expenses all recorded meaningful reductions, reflecting a deliberate commitment to operational excellence and cost optimisation.
“Total assets rose to GHC 4.88 billion, while significant reductions were achieved in overdrafts and term loan obligations. Earnings per share improved by 6.94%, affirming GOIL’s growing ability to transform operational discipline into enduring shareholder value,” he stated in the company’s annual report.
Highlighting other aspects of operations, Mr Archer said the company intended
to increase the storage capacity of its GOBitumen business to 12,000 metric tonnes by the end of 2026, while improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
He said the company would continue to maintain a strong Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) standards.
“In 2025, GOIL successfully attained ISO 45001:2018 certification while retaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, reinforcing our dedication to global best practices. Nationwide, 3,144 HSSEQ inspections were conducted with all identified non conformities fully resolved,” Mr Archer said.
“Environmental compliance was maintained without incident, and extensive training programmes strengthened the culture of safety and accountability across the organisation.”
The company highlighted donation of hospital beds and medical equipment, construction of boreholes in underserved communities, and related interventions as parts of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“True corporate success must be measured not only by profit, but also by the positive and lasting impact we make in the lives of people and communities,” Mr Archer stated.
Following the achievements of 2025, the Board Chairman said the company would continue to maintain discipline and innovation, strengthen its leadership position, and create sustainable value for stakeholders.
