Genoa, June 3, (Lin/Adnkronos/GNA) A shot at the carotid may have resulted in the death of Pietro Alberto Paolo Signor. The 49-year-old who died last Saturday morning, in the gardens of Di Negro house, in Genoa, at the end of a fight with Cisse Camara, 42, a Senegalese citizen seeking asylum, accused of the murder and currently planted at the San Martino polyclinic, where he is hospitalized for pneumonia.
The prosecutors dispute the possibility of voluntary manslaughter. The stroke to the carotid, a vital organ, is indicated among the elements underlying the accusatory approach.
The autopsy, performed last June 1st on the body of Mr.Signor, also highlighted that the victim was a cardiopath, a circumstance that does not exclude the hypothesis of a disease during the scuffle, without affecting the hypothesis of a contested crime. According to the investigative reconstruction, Mr. Signor and Camara may have had a quarrel, that culminated in the mortal wounding of man.
The police, delegated to the investigation by the prosecutor Francesco Cardona, found bottle fragments near the scene of the crime. It is not excluded that the carotid wound may have been caused by a stab weapon not yet found. Ongoing assessments of autopsy outcomes.
From the video surveillance images, the two are found to enter the gardens together at the opening, around 6 a.m., several hours before the murder. The hypothesis under consideration by the investigators is that the quarrel may have arisen from drug issues. Near the scene of the crime was in fact found a sachet of crack.
On the motive the investigators await the interrogation of Camara, as soon as the health conditions allow. Camara, according to reports, would have police records for crimes committed in the past. In recent hours, the newspaper La Verità has reported the sending of inspectors by the Viminale to reconstruct the administrative position of the Senegalese and verify any critical issues related to the failure to take out despite the expired residence permit.
The victim, originally from Milan, was a graduate and was suffering from heart problems that would make a regular working life complex for him.
In a post circulated on social media, reference was made to a recent hospitalization of San Martino and the alleged revocation of the income of citizenship.
There are currently no investigative findings on these aspects. It is not apparent, at the moment, that the victim’s family members have filed a complaint.
