Accra, June 8, GNA — A new Ghanaian film, All Of Us Are Guilty, is set to ignite conversations on accountability, trauma, and the difficult choices people make in challenging circumstances.

Scheduled for a private screening later this year, the film is inspired by questions about human responsibility and the moral complexities that often exist between right and wrong.

Speaking at the official unveiling of the film at the National Theatre in Accra, Mr Enoch Sowah, the director of the film, described the project as more than just a cinematic production.

He said the movie, which was the beginning of an uncomfortable conversation, seeks to challenge audiences to look beyond simplistic notions of good and evil.

“Today is not simply about announcing a film. It is about beginning a conversation,” he said.

Mr Sowah said the film, which started as a question, aims to confront uncomfortable truths that shape individual and collective experiences.

“All Of Us Are Guilty” is a question about accountability, trauma, and about the choices we make when life places us in uncomfortable situations,” he said.

The director, who hoped that audiences would engage with the film beyond its entertainment value and reflect on its deeper themes, said the story ultimately reflected shared human experiences and challenged viewers to examine their own roles in the events and systems that shape society.

“My hope is that when audiences eventually experience this film, they do not simply watch it. I hope they question it. I hope they discuss it. I hope they see a part of themselves somewhere within it,” he stated.

“Because at its core, All Of Us Are Guilty, is not just about the characters on screen. It is about all of us,” he said.

Featuring a cast of 20 actors and actresses, the film brings together a diverse pool of talent to tell a compelling story that explores the complexities of human behaviour and responsibility.

Describing the cast and crew as committed to creating something honest, ambitious, and unforgettable, he said more details about the film, including its release schedule and promotional activities, would be announced in the coming months.

“What you see here today is the result of a collective belief in storytelling and in the power of Ghanaian cinema,” he said.
