Nkroful (W/R), June 18, GNA- ADAMUS Resources Limited has completed renovation works on offices of the Ghana Education Service, (GES) and Ghana Health Services (GHS) Directorates at Nkroful in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
The renovation works which followed an appeal by the District Education and Health Directorates to the office of Madam Angela Dialla Attieh, formed part of the Mining Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and commitment to improve educational infrastructure and access to education.
Mr Francis Kwaw Mensah, Assembly Member for Nkroful Enlunlibo electoral area who facilitated the renovation works, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that the Company also refurbished a toilet facility at the Ghana Health Services which shared offices with the Ghana Education Service.
He said the company was more committed to providing more educational facilities in the catchment area in the quest for access and quality education delivery.
Mr Mensah assured the Education and Health Directorates that he would continue to push for their concerns to be addressed.
Mr Wilfred Katey Adodoadji, Ellembelle District Director of Education earlier told the Ghana News Agency that the structure which served as offices for workers at the Ghana Education Service, did not befit the Directorate.
He said the building was not initially meant for the Education Directorate workers, but they had to make do with the building as a temporal office.
Mr Adodoadji said the building was old as the roofing sheets leaked whenever it rained.
The Education Director said the situation was unbearable for workers at the offices hence, the appeal to the Mining Company to come their aid.
Mr Adodoadji said there was no place of convenience for Education staff in the office forcing education staff to share toilet and urinal with health workers.
While commending Madam Angela Dialla Attieh for renovating the Education Directorate office, Mr Adodoadji appealed to stakeholders for a-one-storey office complex for the Education Directorate for smooth and proper administration as the Ellembelle District was the only District without an educational complex in the Nzema area.
