Accra, May 26, GNA– Ghana’s tall community has launched “The Elevated Circle: Tall Ghana,” the first dedicated social networking platform for tall people.

The event is aimed at bringing together tall professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, and socialites to connect and share experiences.

The initiative was created by media personality and cultural strategist Ivy Prosper.

Inspired by Ms. Prosper’s encounters with tall people during her travels across Ghana and the rising popularity of “Tall Tour” events in the United States, the event seeks to create a community around the shared experiences of tall individuals in Ghana.

Ms. Prosper said tall people often shared relatable experiences and stereotypes in society.

“Being tall in Ghana comes with its own unique experiences. From ducking under ceiling fans to being asked if you’re a soldier, to constantly being asked if you play basketball, there’s a shared experience that many tall people understand immediately,” she said.

“This event is about creating a community around that in a fun, stylish, and social environment.”

The event is open to men 6 feet and above and women 5’9” and above.

“It is more than a social gathering; it combines networking, fashion, culture, and lifestyle conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.”

Ms. Prosper said the initiative reflects a growing global trend of niche social communities and curated networking events centred on shared identity, lifestyle, and experiences.

Activities during the event included networking sessions, interactive social activities, live music performances, lifestyle and fashion discussions, and community-building experiences.

She was hopeful that the maiden edition would grow into a broader platform for Tall Africa events, fashion collaborations, wellness experiences, and networking opportunities across the continent.
