Parliament to reconvene on May 21 for Second Meeting of Second Session

Accra, May 4, GNA – The Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will resume sitting on Thursday, May 21. Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has announced in a formal notice made available to the Ghana News Agency on Monday. 

Signed and issued from the Office of the Speaker, it stated that “the Second Meeting of the Second Session will commence at 1000 hours at Parliament House, Accra.” 

The notice, issued pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of Ghana, sets the date for lawmakers to return from recess and continue legislative business for the Session.  

The House adjourned sine die on Friday, March 27, for the Easter festivities. 

The upcoming Meeting will be the Second for the 2026 Session of the Ninth Parliament.
