The anniversary is on the theme: “Decade of resilience and innovation: Building stronger partnerships for Ghana’s food security”.
Mr Mubarak explained that: “The Association intends to boost NaSTAG visibility, showcase achievements, and solidify its role in advancing agricultural development through private sector participation”, he stated.
He highlighted the need to bring together actors and stakeholders in the seed value chain, strengthen regulatory systems, and ensure that farmers access quality and certified seeds for crop productivity.
“Today, we stand as evidence that collaboration, even in the face of challenges, can transform an entire sector”, he stated, adding that over the past decade, NaSTAG continued playing a critical role in shaping the country’s seed ecosystem.
Mr Mubarak touted some achievements made by NaSTAG like seed traceability systems, improving transparency, and reducing the circulation of counterfeit seeds.

“The creation of seedlink, a platform that amplifies the voice of seed sector in influencing policy decisions, continues training of smallholder farmers, who remain at the heart of our agricultural system, and our sustained efforts in bringing seed producers together, fostering unity, knowledge sharing, and growth is an indisputable feat”, he stated.
Mr Mubarak said amid emerging challenges, the NaSTAG remained resilient as it looked to the future, stressing the need for strengthened partnerships between the government, private sector, development partners, and farmers to advance food productivity.
“Advancing national food security isn’t the responsibility of one institution, but a shared national priority”, Mr Mubarak stated, assuring the NaSTAG dedication to ensure that farmers access climate seeds to improve yields and their livelihoods.
