MCE cuts sod for construction of 24-Hour Market project at Amantin

Amantin, (Bono East), May 19, GNA- Mr Thomas Maswud Ayarba, the Municipal Chief Executive of Atebubu Amantin, in the Bono East Region, has cut the sod for the construction of a 24-Hour Economy Market project at Amantin in the municipality. 
 
He explained that the construction of the model market formed part of President John Dramani Mahama’s “Reset Ghana” agenda, and to boost local economic growth and progressive development. 
 
The market project, being executed by the New Modern World Limited Company, is being funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF). 
 
Speaking at a ceremony at Amantin, Mr Ayarba expressed appreciation to the government for the 24-Hour Economy markets being constructed nationwide, saying that the markets would create job opportunities, boost investor confidence and thereby spur economic growth and development. 
 
He urged the cooperation of the chiefs and people of the area to enable the contractor to speed up and complete the project on time. 
 
Mr Ayarba said the project contained a creche, restaurant, police and fire stations, clinic, cold room, lockable shops and offices, as well as improved washrooms. 
 
The event was attended by Mr Sanja Nanja, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Atebubu Amantin, chiefs and queens, market women and traders.
